We are excitred about our latest addition to the Village of Rochester Hills, Hot Mama, recently celebrated their grand opening on May 16, 2012. The event was a hit and the positive response by our local hot moms was amazing!
During the grand opening, the store was quite busy with women buying dresses for upcoming events, moms trying on comfy linen pants for a day with the kids, and fashionistas mixing and matching favorite pieces from the jewelry table. The kids that attended had a good time too; all while their moms were having some quality shopping time.
All and all, lots of smiles were shared and the store manager, Anne Weber and the Hot Mama District Manager Jen Ware, were busy styling guests in the midst of it all. Aside from these two lovely ladies who are assigned to our Rochester location, owners Megan and Michael Tamte have assembled a team of 300 uniquely trained employees who are committed to the company’s core purpose of empowering fashionable moms through designer merchandise, a mom-friendly store layout and exceptional customer service. It's nice to know many of the staff members are moms themselves and they know how important it is for the mommy clientele to have a versatile wardrobe.
The merchandise is quite exceptional as well. If you are a mom that cares about looking good and being comfortable at the same time, then you will have no problem shopping at Hot Mama. The store carries everything you need including; jewelry, scarves, handbags, cork wedges, wide legged linen pants & trousers, dresses, sweaters, jeans by Hudson and cropped jeans by Kut from the Kloth. They also carry metallic tanks, regular tanks, shorts, blouses and jackets. Current trends can be found in many of the dresses and blouses including those in floral, geometric and animal prints. If you dig the color blocking trend, there are loads of bright solid colors to choose from as well.
Another plus is the store is kid friendly. While you shop, the kids can play with toys, video games and eat animal crackers in the play area located in the middle of the store. It's been known that the kids sometimes have a hard time leaving because the experience for them is so enjoyable too. I thought this was great news because we all know a happy kid is a happy mom.
Hot Mama store hours are Monday through Saturday 10am-9pm and Sunday noon-6pm, the store located on Village Main, just south of Festival Park.

The Village of Rochester Hills Spring Fashion Show at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester, Michigan featured new Spring arrivals from ten retailers of the Village of Rochester Hills. The main focus on the runway were individual retail Spring arrivals and trends. Many of the ensembles displayed pastels, flower patterns, color blocking trends, trench coats, colored jeans and fun accessories. Each of the retail stores involved in the show had its own Spring flair. A bonus show by fiber artist, fashion designer and celebrity stylist, Cynthia LaMaide, wowed the crowed by starting the show (which she also styled) with her hand-made collection. Each piece was made by Cynthia herself specifically for the Rochester show.

The Village of Rochester Hills celebrated the beginning of Spring by making fashion a priority with a Spring fashion show at the Royal Park Hotel. The show reported to have over 300 attendees and proceeds benefitted The Women’s Fund of Rochester, a local non-profit organization. Ten stores from the Village displayed their take on Spring by displaying current trends such as floral prints, color blocking, pastels, trench coats, colored capris and sporty basics. The lobby of the Royal Park Hotel, was decorated with beautiful fashions from the mall’s retailers as singer Olivia Millerschin entertained guests upon their arrival and during the Champagne & Chocolate reception.
